Goldmark were thrilled with the prospect of organising "the party to end all parties". Our client wanted to thoroughly entertain his serious 'party-going' friends in celebration of both a birthday and winning the British GT Race Championship! The challenge was to transform the clients' garden into a magical world for his 200 guests.
It was inevitable the party would carry the motor-racing theme and the
garden provided the perfect venue on which to build, despite
the February weather! A marquee was built with sectioned areas reflecting
the atmosphere of five major Grand Prix venues.
This included organising chefs to both entertain and cook international
cuisine for the guests. The garden setting was made to bloom, enhanced with
a Japanese water feature and an ice-bar with specialist cocktails. The crowning
glory of the scene was the championship car on a mirrored stage alongside
the ice sculpture replica. Goldmark tested the stamina of even the toughest
'party animals' with entertainment continuing into the early hours including
live band, cabaret dancers, magician and origami experts, a laser light show
and opera singers!
The incredible spectacle and celebrity hosts inevitably drew the interest of many glossy magazines, significantly raising the profile of both host and hostess. Goldmark met the last challenge set by our client by removing every last trace of the previous night’s festivities by the time he stepped out of his house the following morning!
